My role in the BIRDS Project:
My main responsibility is communication subsystem for BIRDS projects. My role is to ensure every components related to communications functions as they are intended. The challenge we are currently facing in our project is to accommodate Radio transmitter powerful enough within the given space. BIRDS satellites will not only transmit scientific mission data, but also a song / music for a particular time period, which anyone with a HAM Radio receiver can listen to. This makes my job challenging and fun at the same time.
